Games & Sports & Hobbies

Students enjoy indoor and outdoor games within the school campus. They also have an access to 'Vatsalya Sports Academy' where international level-facilities are available for modern, traditional and adventure-sports.

Co-curricular activities

Development of positive attitude, Physical agility, Mental alertness and understanding and Communication-skills are essential for the overall development of a child. Dramas, Debates, Elocution, Essay-writing, Singing, Classical Dances, Quiz contests, etc. are regularly organized at the school Adventure activities trekking, rock-climbing, wild-life safaris and educational tours field trips to the places of Idistarical & Scientific imparlance are also onganised at school .

Leadership Training

LEADERSHIP-TRAINING
As the school is fully residential from class VI onwords military Leadership-Training is provided to all. Students are trained in the following disciplines:-

• Horse-riding
• Swimming
• Shooting
• Obstacle course
• Rock climbing

This arrangement will enable a large number of students to achieve the coveted N.C.C.-“C” certificate which will ensure an easy entry into the armed forces and civil services, etc. Besides, they will be able to compete successfully in various sports competitions.

Military Training

Military Training is compulsory for all the students. Major activities include variety of drills (Foot-Drill, Rifle-Drill, Cane-Drill, Sword-Drill, Ceremonial-Drill), battle craft, battlefield obstacle course, map-reading, Martial art, Yoga, weaponry, airrifle-shooting, etc

Horse Riding

Horse Riding is unique to the Gurukulam. High Pedigree horses, riding masters and the supporting staff are available to train the studients. It is a compulsory activity for all the students.

Disaster Management

Natural calamities and disasters (both natural and man-made) cause incalculable human sufferings. We train our students to face such disasters with confidence and courage. 'Disaster management capsule' includes training in :

• Evaluation and rescue during emergency
• Fire-fighting & Prevention
• Crossing Flood-waters, saving human life and property
• Coding and De-coding messages
• First-aid to the injured and the sick during the earthquakes, flood and fire.
